Arizona Groove: The Boot Band is a terrific idea for females of all ages! What sparked the ideal personally for you?

Krista Barnett: As I started gaining weight and as my calves got bigger, my options for the cute trendy boots got smaller. So I just accepted my fate as a person who just would not be able to wear those boots because I simply could not zip them up. So one day the idea for the Boot Band hit me. My mom taught me how to sew when I was nine, and when I was a freshman in college, bell-bottomed jeans came back into style. I couldn't afford them, so I created my own by splitting the sides of the jeans and adding an attachment between the slits. So, from that concept, the Boot Band was borne. With it, I can go to the popular shoe stores and purchase a pair of boots off the shelves!

Arizona Groove: What is the boot band exactly?

Krista Barnett: The Boot Band is an attachment that zips on to the part of your boot that you can not zip up. You zip your boot up as far as you can, then add on the Boot Band, zip it up, and you're out the door, sporting your trendy boots.

Arizona Groove: How many different styles or designs do you have?

Krista Barnett: We have one style available now, which is in black. But stay tuned, we are expanding our line to include designer Boot Bands to accompany matching scarves and headbands, and so much more!

Arizona Groove: Can it attach to any boot?

Krista Barnett: The Boot Band can attach to most boots that have zippers. Most boots use a standard-sized zipper, but for the boots with a different-sized zipper, give us a call with the brand and style of your boot, and we will try to make a Boot Band to fit it.

Arizona Groove: But most importantly, does one size fit all?

Krista Barnett: The Boot Band comes in two lengths, the full-sized Boot Band and the half-calf Boot Band, and it is made in three sizes, small, medium, and large. The half-calf Boot Band fits those who can zip the boot up to their calf or almost to their calf, and the full-length Boot Band fits those who can zip their boots up to their ankles. A small provides around an extra 2 inches, a medium provides around an extra 4 inches, and the large provide around an extra 6 inches. The Boot Band is made of an elastic fabric, so you want to get a Boot Band that will ensure a nice tight fit. Once you have a Boot Band, you can attach it to any other boot that has a zipper of the same size. We make so many different styles because our goal is to enable women of all shapes and sizes to wear those trendy boots!

Krista Barnett: The feedback as been so positive an uplifting. One buyer thanked us and stated, "Thank you for allowing style to continue to be a part of the full figured woman's wardrobe." That really touched us and affirmed that we are making a positive contribution to the fashion world.
